family 2017 Ross & Karin and the gang minus Audra and Andy

It is amazing to us how quickly two years have flown past since we went into "retirement" even though we all know that there is no such thing for a person who is a Christ-follower. How exciting each new day is and how wonderful to know that we serve a risen Savior! With so much darkness and gloom facing our world, it is  like stepping into the brilliant light of His glory when we can assist someone fleeing the dark and experiencing the freedom of God's grace for the very first time!

We want to introduce you to our family, all a couple of years older and in the intervening years we have mourned the loss of triplets for Daniel and Sarah (Riggs); we are celebrating a new baby coming in July for Mike and Sarah (Smith) and one on its way for Cyd and Andy in February! This coming December Karin will celebrate sixty fun filled rides on the earth as it rotates around the sun; just like Ross did last year. So, please enjoy our clan's photo and we hope we are able to see many of our ABWE teammates at the retreat in October. Karin is preparing to procur needed medicines and other asundry items that y'all may request! Just send us a note.

Our family is doing anything but slowing down ... here's a photo from this past Christmas. Right in the middle is my oldest brother Rod who suffered debilitating strokes a couple of years ago, the same time we 'retired' to be with him more. Standing (Lto R) Andy & Cyd Devore; Mike and Sarah Smith; Karin with oldest grandson,< Aaron Snyder; Inga King (Karin's sister) and her son Taylor!

Next row, Ross holding 'Gunner' with his right hand and granddaughter Scarlett Smith with her left; Rodney Riggs flanked on his left your right, Madelyn, the daughter of our photographer and then Heidi Booth, Daniel and Sarah Riggs;  Across the front: Dave Snyder holding  his daughter Annabelle, Suzanne with Emelia Smith on her lap, Nathan is on Dad Nick's lap and Allyson Snyder is holding Lana DeVore! (Whew!) Not seen in the photo is baby Smith who was just beginning to take shape and will be in the picture as a five month old and Cyd's baby who will be with us as a 10 month old NEXT Christmas, Good Lord willing!
